I discovered something game music related today that I dont know where else to share lol. Was watching a YT vid earlier on expensive PS1 games and I came across a game known as torniko the last hope. It was noteworthy because I could have sworn I had heard that music before and sure enough 20+ years later that exact same composition appeared in dragon quest builders 2 this time with a title called arms merchant torniko. Honestly I should have just searched games iv recently played by square enix but I could have sworn at the time it was from a final fantasy game. But considering enix made the PS1 game it's small supprise that it got recycled in whole and used in a latter game. Although the last hope game has a hell of a lot more variants of that particular score running throughout that game. Tried using Shazam at one point which was completely pointless lol. It kept sending me classical music scores

In Director's Cut: Saving Room's defense apparently the problem isn't a composition mistake: Apparently somebody forgot to assign the correct instruments to each track and instead made them all trumpets. There's versions online that "fix" the song by assigning it "correct instruments" and it's quite alright and well composed (by...WHOEVER it was that did compose it) But you gotta hand it to the man, he found a way to become a famous composer while avoiding all that nasty composing. Really makes you wonder what's going through someone's head like this to live a lie like this. Is it just the money? Is it the fame and glory? Why didn't he quit while he was ahead? Did he even kinda WANT to be composing or was composing what he could con his way into? People can be so strange.

I'm watching a 1973 episode of Columbo entitled "Candidate for Crime" in which this sound effect was used (10 minutes 6 seconds if you have the Blu Ray). I formerly associated it with the Goldeneye PP7 Silenced. Columbo is a Universal property so it makes sense.

It's just funny that I share the birthday with him.

The directors cut music is horrible, only a few tracks are tolerable but listening to most of it makes me rethink about my life choices. The last boss Tyrant theme sounds like the base for Birkins themes.

I haven’t got a hori pad but I do have a mako pad. And it’s actually my favourite I also have the brawler 64 and although it’s comfortable the analog stick just isn’t accurate enough I can’t play goldeneye etc with it I just can’t aim with it.

I have the brawler 64 and I really struggle to aim in fps games but it’s fantastic for everything else.

You should go over the Resident Evil Survivor OST - Track: Mr. X Lab, or sometimes called, Mr. X and Mr. X and Mr. X. It seems the audio corrupted for the US - NTSC version of the game, but the EU PAL version seems to be fine. The US version of the track, makes the RE1 Dualshock basement theme, sound like Beethoven. Sorry I would link the tracks directly, but some comment sections are funny about links.

I'm not really a fan of the Resident Evil series hence why it doesn't affect me. However and do excuse my language but I severely fucking hate when people lie about having a serious illness/disability! I knew someone who faked being ill because he was jealous that my disabled father was getting SSI disability. Karma bit him since he ended up getting cancer or something. Speaking of Beethoven, he did a couple of my favorite songs. The Moonlight Sonata which scares me because of an episode of Detective Conan/Case Closed and the song that would be used for both Septette For The Dead Princess (Touhou 6) and the Beethoven Virus called Sonata No. 8 Pathetique Third Movement.

Panzer Dragoon Zwei's soundtrack differs somewhat between PAL and NTSC. In my opinion, the NTSC version is the cut down version.

People dog on the Director's Cut soundtrack, but give it a listen. Yes the Basement theme is terrible, but there's some great mood tracks in it. The save room theme is great too. My favorite is "Second Floor Mansion Revisited".
